UNAVETS’ Anesthesia and Pain Management teams are highly trained technicians who take great care when administering anesthesia to minimize any inherent risk. They collaborate closely during other treatments provided at our UNAVETS centres, such as surgeries, emergency care and ophthalmology.
The anesthesia and pain units also help with diagnostic procedures such as x-rays, endoscopies, dental cleaning, and during sample collection.
Pain control is important to speed up recovery time. It allows animals with chronic pathologies, such as arthrosis, to have a better quality of life.
Some of the Anesthesia and Pain Management services that our UNAVETS centres provide throughout Spain and Portugal include;
- Anesthesia and pain management for large and small animals
- Injectable and inhalant anesthesia
- Local and regional anaesthesia and analgesia
- Sedation for more involved surgeries for large animals
