Cats are very different from dogs, their behaviour, handling and even their illnesses are totally different from those of dogs, which is why at the Ciudad de Lugo Veterinary Hospital in Lugo we have facilities designed specifically for cats, a waiting room, consultation room and hospitalisation exclusively for them.
Feline care in our hospital In our hospital, we attach great importance to reducing the stress of our feline patients. For this reason, we separate the cat care area from the dog care area. We have two completely independent waiting rooms, two feline consultation rooms and four canine consultation rooms. In addition, we have four completely separate hospitalisation areas, to which we dedicate more than half of the hospital’s surface area. In this way, each group of patients can receive the appropriate care without putting the others at risk.
From the very beginning, we have been very clear about our role as a companion to the cat families. That is why we are members of the ISFM as a Cat Friendly Gold level clinic and members of AVEPA. These certifications demonstrate our commitment to excellence in feline care.
Hospital Veterinario Ciudad de Lugo has veterinarians and assistants with specific training in feline medicine, who love cats and know how to handle and treat them.
